I like this video way more than I should. I found myself with a silly grin on my face about half way through the video & I've had this song stuck in my head for two days now.
It's a catchy little tune and although I have watched all three seasons of Downton Abbey - 3 times!
I now want to go back and watch them all again for the fourth time.

Simply stupid music, if that...video is great and obviously from someone behind the scenes...cheapens the films..tiring..
ReplyDeleteOne of the really cool things about Downton Abbey is how it appeals to people from all sorts of backgrounds and tastes. I've seen a similar downton mix with rap music which kind of ruined it for me...and I'm not a big fan of some of the parodies either. One of the late night talk shows did a bit that I felt was really off color and distasteful so I get where you're coming from. I like the music - as do many other fans but I dont expect everyone else to. I guess it just goes to show how great the series is
DeleteCatchy... I dont think it was made with the intent to win academy awards, but I think it works... it's interesting to see how the show can work with all sorts of interpretations and backgrounds. Besides, any excuse to watch more DA footage is a positive for me.

BTW - who's going to listen to early 1900's style music nowdays? That's just silly!
