I am feeling a bit "out of sorts" today. Which is a perfect excuse to take a lazy day and watch my favorite movies while I try to drink lots of water and Tylenol cold & flu medicine. If you have to be sick, you may as well make the most of it!
My first pick was The Painted Veil. I finished watching it just a bit ago and although I have seen it many times, I still love every second of it. It is a beautiful love story set in picturesque China. I highly recommend it for anyone wanting to see what a real love story looks like.
Next I will be watching Shining Through and then I'm thinking maybe I'll pick from two other favorites,
When Harry met Sally or Dead Again. Depending on the mood I am in and if I can manage to eat a bit and get some sleep.
Let the laundry sit a while longer, the dishes can wait. The kids will be fine and if you like, you can think of this movie time as a service project. We are together in spirit, bonding over a good movie and I always feel better after watching movies with my friends! So do it for me, so I will feel better soon.

Sorry to hear you are not feeling the best - especially with summer happening for you over there. I am afraid I won't be much help in deciding for you as I only recognise one of those four titles. But the good thing is I can look forward to watching the other three sometime. The first one sound very interesting. Kind of makes me wish I was sick and had an excuse to put my feet up. Hope you're feel better soon.
ReplyDeleteYou are so right about being sick when it's a gorgeous day outside. It's just not fair. Which of the movies on my list is the one you have already seen? I never made it past viewing the first movie today because just as I was starting Shining Through, Lindsey came in and mentioned she had no idea what "Downton Abbey" was.... We made it through all of season 1 and half way through season 2 about an hour ago.
DeleteDead Again!! Such a good one! I may need to look some of these up on Netfix! Insomnia sucks!
ReplyDeleteJudi! My soul sista! You are the first person I've talked to who loves "Dead Again". The freaky kids in the flashbacks always freaked me out and when the cop takes a puff of smoke through his breathing hole......oh, forget about it! so seriously YUCK!!
