NieNie's Book - Heaven is Here

I think about her all the time.

When I feel life isn't fair
or when I wonder in amazement
about how God's plan for me
is so very different than what
I had pictured as a young girl.

When I'm having a day where I feel
not so cute
or that I'm not the right size.

When I want to feel like one person
can make an impact on this world.

and when I need a reminder
of what is truly important in life,
I go read her blog when I want to be inspired
or when I want a fun idea on ways to add fun to life.
and sometimes, when I feel very blessed
and happy to know I am a daughter of God,
I visit NieNie's Blog and smile
because I know she believes
she is a precious daughter of God too.

I am so looking forward to buying
Stephanie Nielson's book on April 3, at Barnes & Noble
or pre-order now on Amazon,
for half price by clicking above!
I just ordered mine.

Are you going to read it too?

  1. I am! I plan on buying it when in the US at the end of this month for work so I can read it on my plane trip home (29hrs from Barcelona - that's a long trip!)

  2. When selecting this book, I didn't realize it was a religious one or I might have thought twice since I"m not Mormon however, the book still holds its own weight as a story of inspiration and recovery. I can certainly understand and respect the influence of faith, prayer and hope in the healing process so if this couple - who has obviously been through a great deal - even if I don't share their religious affiliation.

Now, having said that, there is no doubt the author has been through a tremendous amount which few would have the inner strength...or physical strenth...to come through. She seems to have matured and grown a great deal throughout what is obviously a tragic ordeal. The situation of re-meeting her children with an altered appearance and level of functioning is downright heartbreaking as are the self-doubts and insecurities of dealing with her own sexuality and the reactions ofothers after the accident.

Overall the story is truly inspirational, deals with many of the pains outside of the physical - including the emotional and at times even spiritual. The fact that these two were able to triumph in such an extreme situation with so few years of marriage is a testiment to their dedication to one another and their family.
