Refuse to be anything less than what God intended

“Wherefore, the Lord gave unto man that he should act for himself. Wherefore, man could not act for himself save it should be that he was enticed by the one or the other.” (2 Ne. 2:15–16.)

Yes, we all have free agency.  Plainly put, we are all free to choose what direction our lives take.  We chose every day the kind of person we want to be.  Who do we help?  What words could we say to give comfort to another?  When have we spoken in anger when we should have just kept quiet.  Do we hold on to hurt feelings instead of choosing forgiveness?  It's up to us.

 Let me repeat that. The Lord has given you control of your life. I’m not saying that nothing bad will ever happen to you, or that it isn't perfectly understandable to be upset by others . You will not always be able to control what others may say or do, but you can control how you will react to them. Temptation, illness, accidents, and tragedy are part of this life. There will be some tough days in your lives—very tough days. But when you follow God’s plan and that voice deep within you that pushes you to be better, you can know what to do, and that’s when you are in control. You can decide whether or not you are going to be happy by making choices that will lead you closer to your Heavenly Father instead of those that take us away from true happiness . 

Here's the challenge I have given myself:  
"June, how about starting each new day refusing to be anyone other than the person God knows you really are and the person you were always meant to be?"

Just do your best today and each day will get a bit easier than the last. Every new day brings a new chance to choose. 
 Maybe today God needs you to be there for another. Today, you were meant to be much more than you imagined was even possible.
